Elmo’s Restaurant offers modern Australian cuisine with a Brazilian influence, conveniently located within the Coogee Legion Club ground level entry on Arden Street, Coogee Beach.

The goal of Elmo's Restaurant is to be recognised as the premier eating venue in Coogee.  Since opening on July 8 2011 our new menu has been popular with regular club patrons and visitors alike.

Elmo Capela is a chef with over 25 years of experience. Originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Elmo will be creating a menu with both modern Australian cuisine as well as speciality dishes from Brazil.  He has a passion for bringing the traditional delights of his homeland to the tables of his restaurant.

The food from Brazil is much more than just barbeque (churrasco), beans and rice! Brazil's cuisine has major influences from the native Indians, the Portuguese and Africa, and this eclectic mix has been enhanced by Italian, Japanese, German, Spanish and Arab immigrants.

Reflecting on the ocean views, the menu offers a range of seafood, as well as traditional favourites and meals just for kids.
